This policy explains what personal information okiboo collects when you visit okiboo.com or buy from us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@okiboo.com.
Who we are
okiboo sells porcelain tableware for young children from the United States. Our e-mail address is hello@okiboo.com.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you bought.
- When you pay: your card or PayPal details go straight to our payment providers (PayPal, Stripe or Square). We never see or store your full card number.
- When you start checkout: the email address and name you type and what is in your cart, saved as you type, before you place the order. If you leave without finishing, we may send up to two reminder emails about that cart. You can stop them with the “No thanks” link under the email field or the unsubscribe link in any reminder.
- When you join our list: your email address, and the date and page where you signed up.
- When you write to us: what you send, including any photos of a damaged plate.
- When you browse: technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view and the site that sent you. Some of this is collected with cookies (see below).
How we use it
- To take, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to send order and tracking emails.
- To answer questions, handle returns and replace damaged plates.
- To send our newsletter and your welcome code, only if you asked for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To remind you about a cart you left at checkout, at most twice. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share only what each service needs to do its job for us:
- Payment providers (PayPal, Stripe, Square) to process payments.
- Shipping carriers to deliver your order.
- Our website host (Hostinger) and the software that runs our shop and email list.
- Analytics and advertising partners, such as Google and, if we advertise there, Meta (Facebook and Instagram). They receive information about visits and purchases through cookies and similar tools, which helps us measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and our customers.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep items in your cart, remember your session at checkout, understand which pages are useful, and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout need them to work. You can also limit ad personalization in your Google account (adssettings.google.com) and in your Meta ad preferences.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing, by emailing hello@okiboo.com. Depending on the state you live in, you may have further rights, such as opting out of targeted advertising. We will answer within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we keep order records the law requires us to keep.
Children
Our plates are made for children, but this website is for parents and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept as long as we need them to help you.
Security
The site uses an encrypted (https) connection, and access to customer information is limited to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you think something is wrong.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
